Introduction

Bihar consistently ranks among India's poorest states, with over 33% of its population living below the poverty line. For these families, daily survival is a struggle — food insecurity, no savings, no safety net. A single medical emergency or crop failure can push an already struggling family into debt bondage for years. Our program combines immediate relief with long-term livelihood building, giving families in Bihar the tools, training, and resources they need to permanently move out of poverty.

Impact of the Cause

Over the past five years, we have directly supported 3,200 families across 11 districts of Bihar through our integrated poverty alleviation program. Families enrolled in our livelihood training have seen average income increases of 45% within 18 months. Our ration support program has provided food security to 1,800 families during disaster periods including floods and droughts. We have helped 620 women access government schemes they were previously unaware of, including PM Awas Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana, adding significant value to their households.

How Your Donations Work

Your donation funds a combination of immediate and long-term support. ₹1,000 provides emergency ration support for one family for one month. ₹5,000 enrolls one adult in a 3-month vocational training program. ₹20,000 provides a micro-enterprise starter kit to one family, including tools, raw materials, and business mentorship. We work with each family individually, assessing their needs and designing a support plan that builds on their existing skills and resources. Progress is tracked every six months to ensure sustained impact.

Transparency and Accountability

We maintain a detailed beneficiary database with household-level income and expenditure data collected at enrollment, 6 months, and 18 months. This data is independently verified by our monitoring and evaluation partner annually. Financial accounts are audited and available on our website. We are a NITI Aayog-registered NGO and a certified partner of Bihar's Department of Social Welfare. Our program model has been reviewed and recognized by the Tata Trusts as a best-practice model for rural poverty alleviation.

Thank You

Poverty is not destiny. Every family you support is proof of that. Because of your generosity, children are not going to bed hungry, mothers are learning skills that will feed their families for years, and fathers are regaining dignity they thought they had lost forever. You have chosen to stand with the most vulnerable people in Bihar when it would have been easy to look away. That choice changes everything. From the bottom of our hearts and from every family in our program — thank you for standing strong with us.
